In response to the scourge and suffering caused by Trafficking in Persons (TIP) and Smuggling of Migrants (SOM), the European Union Delegation, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the National Agency for the Prohibition of Traffic In Persons (NAPTIP) and the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) launched a nationwide “I AM PRICELESS” campaign against Trafficking in Persons and Smuggling of Migrants on 9 October in Abuja.

The “I AM PRICELESS” campaign is part of the awareness raising component under the European Union funded project “Promoting Better Management of Migration in Nigeria by Combating and Reducing Irregular Migration that occurs, inter alia, through Trafficking in Persons (TIP) and Smuggling of Migrants (SOM)”. In a statement by the Deputy Head of European Union Delegation, Mr. Kazimierz Romanski identified the overall objective of the European Union's support under the project as enhancing Nigeria's capacity to manage migration and maximise its development potential.

The National Agency For The Prohibition of Traffic in Person and Other Related Matters, (NAPTIP) has finalized arrangements with Wale Adenuga Productions to broad cast a T.V drama showcasing the issues of Human Trafficking, Child abuses, Child Labour and other related issues on the platform of Superstory, a popular Television Drama series on major network in the country.
